Mon 1 Jan 0001 - Tues 2 Jan 2018, family, theatre & dance
New matinee show added Tues 2nd Jan - hurry!
Due to cancellations caused by snow, an extra show has been squeezed in on Tues 2nd January at 1.30pm. Tickets are on sale now priced £17. This new show will not appear on normal panto publicity and is added to cope with demand for matinee shows following cancellation of of 4 shows due to snow.
Solihull's own 'Mr Panto' Malcolm Stent is treating audiences to one final dollop of sparkling fun and silliness as he takes to the stage in his panto finale... Jack & The Beanstalk - after an amazing 27 year pantomime run.
Join Jack Trot and his mum who, being completely broke are forced to sell their beloved cow at market. When Jack meets a mysterious stranger he makes a deal but oh dear! ...his mum will be furious! Jack goes on a silly, sparkling musical rollercoaster ride of excitement in this fun, action-packed pantomime starring professional actors, dancers and musicians, written by Malcolm Stent and directed by Marcus Fernando.
When they climb up to the castle in the sky, the plucky adventurers face difficulties including the very, very, very large man who lives in the house, and that smelly Fleshcreep who slithers around the place.
Come along to boo, hiss, sing and have fun in this show to entertain the whole family with great value tickets - particularly the lower prices on the opening weekend!
With Malcolm's unique local references, the intimate auditorium... where no one is more than 15 rows from the front, and his amusing audience interactions this show is perfect for audiences 2 to 102!
Generations of Solihull audiences have enjoyed a Malcolm Stent pantomime... beloved by audiences and critics alike who return year after year to Solihull's Core Theatre. Malcolm was honoured in the New Year's Honours List for his Outstanding Services to Entertainment and he bids farewell to his panto audiences in Jack & The Beanstalk... truly a giant of panto!
