Mon 1 Jan 0001 - Wed 1 Aug 2018, family, theatre & dance
Drum roll, please… Heartbreak invites you to join us for the grand opening of The Lord Funt Hospital Playground, a spectacular new play area for the convalescent child.
Tom and his friends will be there, too, but you might know them best as The Midnight Gang. When everyone else is sweetly sleeping, they gather in the middle of the night in the name of magic, mischief, and memory making. Join Heartbreak and the gang on this crucial mission to overcome our greatest fears and uncover the magic ingredient to a fantastic friendship.
Be prepared to be daring at this outdoor adaptation of David Walliams’ bestseller. Who knows where the night may lead?
Bring your picnics, blankets and folding chairs, plus drinks and picnics to see this funny book - destined to be a David Walliams' classic performed outdoors in the atmospheric lakeside setting of Brueton Park. Heartbreak Productions specialise in high quality outdoor theatre in unusual spaces.
Tickets are limited to 450 to ensure everyone can see and hear the performers within the best possible area. The shows have previously sold out so please book early. There are toilets on site but no seating - audiences bring their own folding seat, blanket, waterproof coats, bin liners to sit on - whatever you wish appropriate to the weather.
Ticket buyers who buy ONLINE or OVER PHONE can collect from the gate of the Arena from 6pm on the day of the show.
No dogs, cycling or ball games in the Arena please - due to close proximity of others with food etc. The numbers are limited to 450 per show to ensure that everyone can hear and see well, which is why shows sell out quickly. Tickets, where available, cost more when buying on the gate (£13 (£12 ch).
The first 336 tickets purchased will be guaranteed a seat in the theatre in the event of extreme bad weather on the day. This is due to very heavy rain, thunder, wind or waterlogged ground. Occasional short showers don't prevent the show going ahead and can be fun! Keep your eye on the website as updates will be posted here on the day of the show.
Toilets are available in the nearby Parkridge Centre when open + a portable toilet on site. There is limited parking at Warwick Road end of the park - following ticketing instructions shown.
