This show was part of Solihull BookFest 20 which was regrettably cancelled due to Covid-19 Regulations. Every effort is being made to transfer the whole BookFest event over to 5 June 2021 but this will take some time to confirm. Once we re-open and BookFest organisers have completed their plans, we’ll check with them which shows will go ahead. Normal refund options will apply if you are unable to attend the new date, but please be patient as refunds can only begin once our office has reopened, and will be handled in date order for all cancelled shows. In the meantime get reading, drawing, writing and creating!

Aardman Animations are giving you the chance to learn how to make your own Gromit or Shaun the Sheep character at these fun, hands-on clay modelling workshops. Led by one of their expert model-makers you'll also get the opportunity to ask qustions about the tricks of the trade from the Aardman studio.
Taking place in the Courtyard gallery these three sessions are aimed at ages 6-99 years. The tables will be set up for just 40 participants, all of whom should have a ticket. If you wish to model-make with your child please buy a ticket.
This is a brilliant opportunity to do something together... however If you wish to attend the Courtyard Gallery simply to ensure your child is happy then some seating may be available at the back of the gallery or you can wait in the nearby CafeBar, but parents without tickets are unable to sit at the model-making tables.
EARLY BIRD TICKETS: There are three sessions; 1pm (Make a Gromit), 2.30pm (Make a Shaun) and 4pm (Make a Gromit) with 40 places available for each, however only 15 places are available now, the remaining places will go on sale when the whole BookFest season is launched later in the year. These sessions are expected to be hugely popular.
