FUN PALACE

A worldwide campaign for culture made by your community, for your community

The Core will join 300+ Fun Palaces across the UK and globally set to erupt with free and fun activities, celebrating culture in our community - and you’re invited!

Immerse yourself and learn about source code and what exactly a Raspberry Pi is, photography and what those dials and buttons for, discover the art of stand up comedy, make a song and dance of yourself and find out how to get involevd in local musical theatre societies, and visit our brand new exhibition in the Courtyard Gallery!

Fun Palaces bring together the cultural skills of those in local communities for others to learn and enjoy, and have previously included artists, scientists, theatre-makers, knitters, astronomers, magicians, gardeners, singers, conservationists, swimmers, dancers, theatre-makers, crafters and more, showcasing and sharing arts, science, technology, history, crafts, digital and sports.

Fun Palaces is an ongoing campaign for community at the heart of culture, with an annual weekend of events each October.

Our Fun Palace day is completely free of charge, and there's no booking required - just simply turn up!
