What draws people from all over the world to live in Solihull? Photographic artist Sam Ivin explores this in his latest commission with Solihull Council’s Cultural Services.
Sam has collaborated with several families and individuals living in the Solihull area to capture their stories. Alongside these are a selection of participants own photographs and a series of large family portraits that Sam has playfully decorated. Stories include Hong Kongers Carrie & Jon seeking a fresh start, Mariia and her families’ escape from the war in Ukraine, and Bashir’s journey to the UK from Afghanistan.
All stories captured in the project will be donated to The Solihull Library Archive at The Core Library.
