Memories and Music is a choir led by Paula from Solihull Music, which brings people affected by dementia together to sing a variety of songs together in a fun and friendly environment, regardless of singing abilities.
Singing has been shown to stimulate the brain and evoke memories, making it a meaningful activity for those with dementia as familiar songs can help reconnect individuals with their past memories. Singing in a group can improve your mood, reduce anxiety and brings people together.
This friendly and supportive choir is open to people with all forms of dementia and their carers.
Please note, these sessions will run at Park View Day Centre, Tudor Grange Park, Monkspath Hall Road, Solihull, West Midlands, B91 3LU
