Sarah Bagshaw has been creating designs for packaging for companies such as Lush, Anthropologie and Haagen Dazs, she has now returned to making drawings, paintings and prints and is loving it!
Mark making is at the heart of Sarah’s practice, whether working to a design brief or creating an artwork. There is always an element of play and experimentation – once something becomes too formulaic or calculated, she moves on to using materials or combinations of materials/processes that haven't been used before. Making art for Sarah is about fun, she enjoys making it and hopes others enjoy viewing it!
Currently, Sarah’s work is made using combinations of painting and screen printing. She frequently works with opposites – dark/light, opaque/transparent, static/moving. The pieces shown are the early results of this experimentation.
All of the artworks exhibited have been made this year, all are for sale with frames. Please visit www.sarahbagshaw.com for more details.
