The talented Solihull Theatre Company is proud to present the all-out classic family musical “Half A Sixpence”. Based on H. G. Wells’ novel “Kipps – The Story of a Simple Soul”, this endearing musical is a firm favourite on stage and silver screen. The story revolves around cheeky chap, Arthur Kipps, whose life changes when he inherits money. Kipps tries to become part of the upper set, loses all his old friends and seemingly forgets his childhood sweetheart Anne, who carries the other half of his sixpence until Kipps realises he doesn’t belong in this new world and that money can’t buy happiness!
Featuring well-loved songs like “If the rain’s got to fall”, “Flash bang wallop, what a picture!” and the title song, this show will be a colourful, toe-tapping event for all the family!
