Youth Arts steps up from ArtLab, pushing young people to step out of their comfort zones and try new things together with focussed development of the fundamental skills required to work in the creative industries. Moreover, the skills developed are not just relevant to the creative industries but multiple leadership roles both in work and in life. Opportunities to gain real world experience of arts roles including facilitating workshops and curating exhibitions, are integrated in the programme.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a pioneering new platform to shape the direction of youth culture in Solihull. Youth Arts is powered by Art at the Heart CIC – qualified artist lecturers with 25+ years of experience working with youth groups. The workshops can support GCSE/A-Level arts subjects and folder/interview preparation for higher level courses (eg degree in the arts).
All materials are provided except A1 art folders (available for purchase at first session for £10). We accept late starters dependent on places. For more information contact office@artattheheartcic.org
Arts Award – Young people will have the opportunity to achieve Arts Award at either Bronze, Silver or Gold levels aligned to developmental stage. Gold Arts Award carries 16 UCAS tariff points.
Bookings must be made in advance and through the AATH website: Youth Arts Jan-March 2024 - Art at the Heart CIC~Creative and Cultural Education
